Alright,
So today I listened to a lot of music on YouTube today as well as get another one of my "works of art" onto the wider web world, or at least half of it. My third project is titled, "Is it True I am in Love with a Fairytale?" Why this title?
Well the story starts during Summer 2009. I was just innocently on YouTube minding my own business watching videos of cats and I saw a link for a song contest that was currently going on in Europe. This contest is called Eurovision... and it was the start of a long and happy relationship of intrest in current European music of all sorts.
My project for my class is really just a bunch of clips smashed together of things that I thought were cultural, intimate and grotesque. Naturally the traditional Chinese dancers are the cultural aspect, my kitty is the intimate portion and the riot is the grotesque part. All in all the title really did not mean much, at least at first. It is a combination of two of my favorite songs from the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, "Is It True" by Iceland's Yohanna and "Fairytale" by Norway's Alexander Ryback. But as I rewatched the videos it reminded me slightly of my dreams... not that I can say I have anything nearly as trippy happening in my noggin at anypoint in time.
So link here for Screen One.

Archiving this Process
Hello again!
I am not entirely sure if anyone actually follows this blog, and I am perfectly okay with that fact. But in the off chance that someone really cares what a non-art student is doing in a contemporary digital art class, then you are certainly one of interesting taste.
As an update, I have finally made my mark on the YouTube world buy posting my first project from my Multimedia class on this illustrious website. I can now rightly claim my title as Time Person of the Year 2006, albeit three years late. (Don't understand click here).
My first piece, named Precious 2.0 was just a silly experimentation of combining unlike images and sounds. Granted it is a bit of a failure, dancing cats set to the tune of a song about dancing hamsters is really not all that different, but I thought it was fun.
I hope you enjoy, see it here!
